Momoka Muraoka, who is taking on the extraordinary challenge of participating in the Tokyo Paralympics this summer and the Beijing Paralympics next year, won the Giant Slalom of the Para Alpine Skiing Asia Cup in Nagano Prefecture. I won my third win.

The tournament has been held in Sugadairakogen, Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture since the 9th, and you can earn points to decide the participation quota of each country of the Beijing Paralympics.

On the 11th of the 3rd day, a giant slalom of men and women was held following the 10th, and Muraoka, who won five medals at the previous Pyeongchang Paralympics, participated in a women's sitting and sliding class.

At the Pyeongchang tournament, Muraoka, who won the gold medal in this event, faced the race with an awareness of repeating turns with good rhythm, and showed a speedy slide saying "I moved well" and responded to the obstacle. He marked 2 minutes 3 seconds 18 in the total time of 2 times multiplied by the coefficient, and won the championship with a big difference of 11 seconds or more in 2nd place.

Muraoka has been challenging wheelchair racing with the aim of participating in the Tokyo Paralympics, and since this is the first time in two years that he has participated in a ski competition, he was concerned about lack of practical experience. However, together with the Super-G on the 9th and the Giant Slalom on the 10th, he won his third victory in this tournament.

Muraoka said, "I'm nervous, but I've gradually remembered the feeling of ski racing. I'm off to a good start for the Beijing Paralympics, which is approaching next year."

The tournament will run until the 13th, after which Muraoka will participate in the Para-Athletics Japan Championships starting on the 20th of this month in Tokyo.
