When the Europa League draw fell to Manchester United against Milan in the round of 16, there was talk of a hot Swedish meeting.

But neither Zlatan Ibrahimovic, injured in the thigh, nor Victor Nilsson Lindelöf, back problems, played tonight.

Milan scored two goals

In the fifth minute of the match, Rafael Leao was released and shot the ball into the net - but the goal was ruled out for offside.

Five minutes later, Franck Kessié stood for a really delicious goal - when he on half volley screwed the ball into Dean Henderson's right corner.

But after a VAR review, Kessié was seen taking the ball with his hand and the goal was ruled out.

37 minutes into the game, Harry Maguire had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury.

The United defender came free on the away post and managed to shoot the ball into the post.

The first half ended goalless.

The debutant cracked the zero

But in the second, however, Manchester United would take the lead.

It was the substitute 18-year-old debutant Amad Diallo, who had only been inside for five minutes, who nodded the ball in and cracked the zero.

There, many believed that the United victory was secured - but it was not.

For in the 92nd minute, Milan would put the equalizer.

That when the Dane Simon Kjaer nodded in 1-1 - which was also the end result.
