The Paris commercial court dismissed Canal + on Thursday in its dispute with the Professional Football League (LFP) on the mode of reallocation of TV rights to Ligue 1 after the failure of Mediapro, we learned from sources with knowledge folder.

According to a copy of the decision obtained by AFP, the Paris Commercial Court ruled that the LFP was within its rights by releasing on the market only the TV rights abandoned by the defaulting Sino-Spanish broadcaster, unlike the assumption of a global call for tenders desired by Canal +, supported by its partner beIN Sports.

This allows the LFP to keep the 332 million euros annually due by Canal + until 2024 for the lot not called into play.
