Adoption of the Chinese vaccine for participants in the Tokyo and Beijing Olympics

The International Olympic Committee revealed in a press release today that it will purchase vaccines from China for the athletes participating in the Tokyo Olympics next summer and the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, according to what its president, re-elected German Thomas Bach, announced.

The Chinese Olympic Committee "made an offer to make additional vaccine doses available to participants in Tokyo 2020 and Beijing 2022," according to Bach, who added, "The International Olympic Committee will pay for the additional doses of the vaccine for the Olympic and Paralympic Games."
