Rugby in XIII, XV, VII ... Sonny Bill Williams will have juggled between the "codes" during his very rich career.

It's now over, as the gifted New Zealand double world champion in 2011 and 2015 with the All Blacks, announced on the Australian channel Nine News Sydney.

The center with 58 caps, 35, spoke of a reluctant knee, "which can no longer meet the requirements of the NRL", the Australian rugby union championship.

Williams' last club will remain the Sydney Roosters, one of the biggest Treizist teams, whom he will continue to represent as an ambassador.

But the former Toulon player, between 2008 and 2010, has not finished with the sport, unlike his former teammate in selection Daniel Carter, also retired since last month.

Seven fights, seven victories

He wants to devote himself full time to boxing after having already played seven fights, all won (the last in January 2015), in parallel with his rugby career.
