Ralf Rangnick has expressed interest in succeeding national coach Joachim Löw.

It is a "job that leaves no one in Germany cold," said the 62-year-old on Wednesday on "Sky".

“I can basically imagine anything.

For me, it's primarily a matter of timing.

At the moment I'm free, ”said Rangnick.

The German Football Association (DFB) announced on Tuesday that Löw would stop after the EM this summer.

DFB President Fritz Keller had said that the successor was being sought “with calm and a sense of proportion”.

Jürgen Klopp has already canceled with reference to his current contract with Liverpool.

Rangnick, who was most recently active as a trainer and sports director at RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga, was open to working with DFB director Oliver Bierhoff.

“I could imagine that a collaboration with Oliver Bierhoff would be very fruitful.

It would be helpful to have someone who already knows the customs, "said Rangnick, recalling past meetings with the official:" At the DFB, we work and think in the right direction in many areas. "

Löw speaks out on Thursday

National coach Löw will explain the background to his resignation tomorrow (from 1.30 p.m.).

The 61-year-old is giving a video press conference with DFB Director Bierhoff and DFB President Fritz Keller.

During the meeting, Bierhoff and Keller could possibly provide initial information about the search for a successor.

Hans-Dieter-Flick, coach of FC Bayern, is also traded as a promising candidate.

Jürgen Klopp had already stated that he was not available as a national coach.

Löw had announced on Tuesday via the German Football Association that he would give up his office after the EM this summer.

The 2014 world champion coach has been leading the German national team since 2006.
