Erling Haaland had no chance of reaching the flank.

The BVB striker was two steps too late in the Champions League game against Sevilla FC.

Seville goalkeeper Yassine Bounou intercepted the ball in the 48th minute and started the counterattack with a quick throw.

Sevilla played their way into the Dortmund half, but lost the ball.

The next attack by Borussia rolled in the direction of the Spanish gate.

After a double with Thorgan Hazard, Haaland appeared free in front of Bounou and scored from an acute angle to make the supposed 2-0.

The Norwegian had already given Borussia the lead in the first half.

Haaland turned away cheering, but had done the bill without referee Cüneyt Cakir and the video referee.

The gate didn't count.

Not because Haaland had been sidelined or fouled his opponent, but because he was fouled.

A minute earlier on the flank that was easily intercepted.

Koundé had pulled the Norwegian slightly at the jersey.

Bounuo saves the penalty.

But it doesn't help him because he left the goal line too early

So then a penalty.

Haaland took care of the matter.

He delayed the run-up, shot the ball flat into the right corner and failed on Bounou.

The game went on.

The penalty scene was far from over.

Goalkeeper leaves the line by a few centimeters

Again the video assistant reported to referee Cakir.

Bounou had moved a few inches from his goal line towards the penalty spot on Haaland's penalty kick.

And that before Haaland had shot.

Reason enough for Cakir to have the penalty repeated.

Meanwhile, the 54th minute was running in the Dortmund stadium.

Six minutes after the actual 2-0 win, Haaland was allowed to repeat his penalty.

He ran and shook the ball to 2-0 in Seville's goal.

“The whole scene was very turbulent.

We're just happy that we were able to score the second goal, ”said BVB coach Edin Terzic.
