According to GP, the Public Health Agency has given the green light for spectators to return to the sports arenas from the men's Swedish premiere weekend, 10-11 April.

But the message comes with a real slap in the face: The infection situation must not worsen until then.

- They have proposed a staircase where you can adjust the level of how many can be taken into an audience, depending on the infection situation.

I think everyone sees in front of them that there will be a gradual reopening.

There, the Public Health Agency proposes that a first step can be taken on 11 April if the infection situation does not deteriorate, Lind tells GP.

The proposal rhymes well with the opening plan that Swedish Elite Football produced earlier this year.

- The Swedish Public Health Agency has proposed a first step with low audience levels, but more than the current eight-person limit, different depending on whether it is a seated audience or outdoors.

And as the infection situation improves, more steps can be taken, says Amanda Lind.

From Swedish Elite Football, they are positive about having the opportunity to bring in more fans.

- We and our clubs are experts in arranging events with audiences.

If we can have a dialogue with the authorities and their expertise in infection control, I am sure that we can jointly arrive at a few different levels for how we gradually release more and more audiences as the infection situation improves, says Svante Samuelsson, sports manager at Svenk Elitfotboll on SEF's website.
