A survey conducted by the Japanese newspaper Yomiuri shows that 77 percent of respondents oppose allowing foreign spectators to go to the Tokyo Olympics, while only 18 percent are in favor.

In April, information is expected on how many spectators will be admitted to the arenas in general.

The survey had a response rate of 54 percent, with 1,066 respondents.
