The German FC Bayern is planning changes in management.

His previous chief scout Marco Neppe is to be promoted to technical director of the Bundesliga leaders.

This is what the "kicker" reports.

Neppe has been working for the German record champions for seven years.

The 34-year-old, who previously played for VfL Osnabrück, among others, is the most important point of contact for sports director Hasan Salihamidzic when looking for talent and access.

Neppe is known as a "transfer whisperer".

Michael Reschke, formerly a manager at Bayer Leverkusen and then Technical Director at FC Bayern, gave him great support.

He brought Neppe to the Munich team, and the start coach Pep Guardiola was also enthusiastic about the scout.

Reschke was Neppes' sponsor

Neppe has built up a large network of players.

Among other things, he was involved in the transfers of Joshua Kimmich, Serge Gnabry, Niklas Süle and Leon Goretzka, and he also prepared numerous deals in Bayern's junior team.

After three years as a scout, he was promoted to chief scout in 2017.

Reschke would have liked to take Neppe with him to VfB Stuttgart, but Bayern only allowed Reschke to move to the Swabians on the condition that he did not take Neppe with him.

Pirmin Schwegler could be Neppes' successor.

The former Bundesliga professional, who played for Eintracht Frankfurt and Hannover 96, among others, is considered a candidate for the post of head scout.

Schwegler has been working as a player observer for Bayern since the beginning of the year.

The club is very impressed by the work of the 33-year-old Swiss.

Schwegler spotted Richards

Schwegler was most recently involved in Omar Richards' personnel.

The 23-year-old defender will join Munich on a free transfer from the English second division club Reading FC.

Lucas Hernández is likely to play in central defense after the departure of David Alaba after this season, while Richards is said to be a "back-up" for Alphonso Davies on the left-back side.

Schwegler is said to have spoken out in favor of the obligation.

Schwegler moved from Hannover 96 to Australia to Western Sydney in the summer of 2019 and ended his playing career a year later.

He actually wanted to travel then, but this was not possible because of the pandemic.

He rescheduled and wanted to look behind the scenes of a club.

Schwegler told the "Blick": "That was possible at Bayern, among other things, because I knew the chief scout Marco Neppe there." Finally, after a first "run along", he was asked whether he would like to work for the club .

Schwegler works a lot in the home office and takes part in virtual meetings, and occasionally goes to Munich for meetings.

He mainly uses the Wyscout scouting platform.

“As a rule, every scout has his own regions and leagues.

But since I'm new to it, everything still has to develop, ”said Schwegler.
