Sebastian Samuelsson made a strong contribution to the biathlon sprint.

Full shooting and fast in the track resulted in him driving in second - just 2.4 seconds behind leader Simon Desthieux.

German Arnd Peiffer finished third.

- Today he stood for a really, really top race, says Björn Ferry.

In yesterday's relay, Samuelsson blocked two shots and finished in eleventh place - today he took revenge with full shooting and a second place.

- He has lifted skiing from last year, when he had a slump.

And the shooting is significantly much better this winter, says Ferry.

Now Samuelsson has been on the podium five times individually this World Cup season.

Martin Ponsiluoma, one barrier, and Jesper Nelin, two barriers, learn to drive in tomorrow's hunt start.

The competition is ongoing.
