In 2009, the ladies entered the World Cup program in ski jumping - today another step was taken.
On this day, the last barrier was broken.
That was when the ladies made their debut on the big hill in the World Cup context.
- Big day and really on time, says the expert Anders Daun in SVT's broadcast.
26-year-old Norwegian Maren Lundby, who is making her seventh WC, was the big favorite to take home the victory.
And she did.
With a jump of 156.8, she took a historic World Cup gold.
- No podium place in the World Cup for the whole season and so she does this, says Anders Daun.
The Norwegian has a World Cup gold and Olympic gold on a normal slope and is now the first woman to take gold on a large slope.
