It has been an unusually difficult year for slalom specialist Anna Swenn Larsson.

First, she was stopped to go to the World Cup premiere in Levi because a leader tested positive for corona.

Two weeks later, a positive corona test arrived as a letter in the mail and she was quarantined.

But bad luck did not let go of her there.

A broken foot just before Christmas put an end to the World Cup adventure in Cortina and now there will be no competition on the home hill in Åre.

- I really had a hope for Åre.

I was very disappointed when I received the message, she says to SVT Sport and continues:

- It looked great and it is almost completely healed.

But doctors, physiotherapists and coaches have had a meeting and everyone agrees that I should not stress but continue to go free riding for one to two more weeks.

She also says that it would only have been relevant to run a competition if she had been given the green light.

- I keep my ranking then.

Then she bursts out in both laughter and frustration at the same time:

- It's been a shitty year, but now it's enough!

But there will be brighter times and I am really pissed and motivated for spring and I think I should train like hell.
