"It is unique for the players in this selection to eventually be allowed to play a final", says VVV coach Hans de Koning.

"I told my captain Danny Post that he just has to play full throttle, even though he is on edge. If he doesn't, he'll walk on eggs. Hopefully we can decide in regular time, because we have a very tough competition schedule. . "

"This feels like a European match," Vitesse coach Thomas Letsch said in conversation with

.

"We can build on Saturday's game and we are also well prepared today. Still, it feels a bit strange, because there should be no fans at such a big game. It would be a highlight in my career if we reach the final. . "

The fact that so many fireworks are lit outside the stadium would partly be due to the fact that various supporter groups do not agree with the policy of their club.

Yesterday, a number of supporters shared the following statement.

Us for you, you for us wasn't it @MijnVitesse?

Vitesse and VVV start with the same players as three days ago.

Vitesse and VVV-Venlo start the match with the same basic players as three days ago.

The Arnhemmers then won in the Eredivisie with 4-1 against VVV in the Gelredome stadium.

Despite the loss, VVV coach Hans de Koning sees no reason to adjust his team.

Halfway through, the score was still in balance on Saturday (1-1).

In the second half, Vitesse ran away via Riechedly Bazoer, Sondre Tronstad and Armando Broja.

At the end of January, VVV was just 4-1 too strong for Vitesse in their own stadium.

Eredivisie top scorer Georgios Giakoumakis then scored four times.

Vitesse:

Feather;

Dasa, Doekhi, Bazoer, Rasmussen and Wittek;

Tronstad, Tannane and Bero;

Broja and Openda.

VVV-Venlo:

Kirschbaum;

Pachonik, Gelmi, Da Graca and Schäfer;

Shabani, Post and Donis;

Machach, Giakoumakis and Hunte.
