Johannes Hösflot Kläbo started the WC by winning the individual sprint on Thursday, tore through a heavy skiathlon last Saturday where he finished fourth and was the finisher in the Norwegian sprint relay team that took gold on Sunday.

To get enough rest before Friday's relay over 4x10 km, the super sprinter Kläbo as well as Egil Iversen are now saved, which was perhaps more unexpected.

Simen Hegstad Krüger, Martin Johnsrud Sundby, Hans Christer Holund, Harald Östberg Amundsen and Sjur Röthe will drive for Norway.

"Lost my grip on where I stand"

Sundby, which is plagued by long-term back problems, has a free place after the World Cup win (then 15 km classic) in Seefeld two years ago.

Even if he were to win Wednesday's race, it is already clear that he will only be allowed to compete on Wednesday.

It will be his only appearance.

- The back has improved and the form is good but I feel that I have lost my grip on how I stand in the competition, says 36-year-old Sundby who will make an evaluation after the season whether he should continue or not.

- I feel that I will not get any better, but I will not make a decision about the future until after this season is over, Sundby says.
