As strange as it may seem given the European health context around Covid-19, at the time of writing, Euro 2020-2021 football is still planned in twelve countries and twelve cities on the continent.

This did not prevent British Prime Minister Boris Johnson from declaring that England volunteered to organize the entire competition on its soil.

"We are already host of the Euro since we are hosting the semi-finals and the final," explained the head of the English government.

If there is, well you know, if they [UEFA leaders] want other games to be hosted, we are certainly up for that.

But for the moment, that's where we are with UEFA, ”he said Monday in an interview with tabloid The Sun.

If so far UEFA has seemed to want to wait as long as possible before reviewing its plans, the European health situation, with epidemic rebounds in many countries, could push it to think about this proposal from the United Kingdom.
