After spending the night at the police station, FC Barcelona's former president Josep Maria Bartomeu was brought before a judge in the Catalan city today.
After choosing not to speak, he, like his right-hand man Jaume Masferrer, was released on parole pending the investigation into the "Barçagate" scandal.
A total of four people were arrested in connection with yesterday's police raid on Barcelona's club premises at Camp Nou, but the other two people have previously been released.
"Barçagate" is about Bartomeu being accused of using a PR agency to defame his critics on social media, including star players Lionel Messi and Gerard Piqué, while strengthening his own position as club chairman.
He resigned in October and on Sunday Barcelona will elect a new chairman.
