The European Indoor Championships will be decided between March 5-7 in Torun, Poland.

On the same track as he broke the world record last season.

But already on the fourth of March it is time for qualifiers.

- I do not want to anticipate the events.

I will be focused during the qualifiers.

During the World Indoor Tour in Belgrade, which took place on February 26, Duplantis beat the new world year best after jumping 6.10.

Now he hopes to jump even higher.

- I'm where I want to be in shape.

I feel ready to drive.

My goal is to jump as high as possible, so I will of course try to do that.

My goal is to win gold.

When asked how it feels to jump such high altitudes at such a young age, he says this.

- I always try to push the boundaries of what is possible.

You do not have to be 26 or 27 years old to jump over six meters.

I think it's important that people see that you can do it at any age.

"Mondo" is looking forward to being back in Torun, where he broke the world record last year.

- It feels like coming home, Torun is a special place for me.

It's a shame I can not jump in front of the same people who were there when I broke the world record.

The qualifier is broadcast on SVT Play and starts on Thursday at 18.55.
