In just a couple of weeks, from March 12 to 14, Formula 1 will start its preseason in Bahrain.

There too, at the end of the month (March 28), on the asphalt of the Sakhir circuit, the first race of the World Championship will be held.

A large group of people will set foot in one of the countries with the highest vaccination rate on the planet, hence the Grand Prize organizers have voluntarily offered vaccinations to all members of the caravan that accompany the world championship.

An additional coverage that, however, the Great Circus will reject, since F1 must respect the British health calendar.

"The vast majority of participants will be in Bahrain for a period of three weeks prior to the race. This offers a unique opportunity to provide additional protection to those who wish to take advantage of this opportunity in the form of vaccination (Pfizer-BioNTech)," announced the organizers of the Bahrain Grand Prix in a statement.

The idea of the Bahrain Ministry of Health was that all members of the expedition (pilots, engineers, mechanics, journalists ...) get vaccinated when they arrive for preseason training and receive the second dose before leaving the country, 21 days then.

The Islamic country has one of the highest vaccination rates on the planet, with five vaccines available to the population and they extend their program to important events in their territory, always on a voluntary basis.

However, from Formula 1, based in the United Kingdom, like most teams, they maintain that they must respect the British vaccination schedule so that their employees do not enjoy privileges.

"We do not want to be a traveling group, we are part of the UK health system," they argue from the organization.
