  • Olympique de Marseille and Olympique Lyonnais drew 1-1 in the shock of the 27th day of Ligue 1.

  • After a good start to the match, the Lyonnais gradually died out and were caught up by OM.

  • The Marseillais obtained a penalty, which allowed them to equalize just before half-time.

At the Velodrome stadium,

Olympique de Marseille and Olympique Lyonnais drew 1-1 on Sunday night at the Stade Vélodrome, for the 27th day of Ligue 1. The Lyonnais are now 3rd in the standings, while the Marseillais remain 7th, with still one match late.

Lyon is extinct

The Lyonnais, who could come back one point behind the Lille leader if they won, got back to their game very well and quickly outclassed the OM players.

For the first 20 minutes, it's like they're playing power-play.

Like the opening score of Toko Ekambi, found alone at the far post (22nd).

But after this goal, they gradually fell asleep and the Marseillais quite logically returned to the score.

A contentious but saving penalty for OM

The Marseille match is the opposite of the Lyonnais.

They took a long time to get into the game, until the penalty was obtained just before half-time.

On a strike from Gueye, the ball struck Paqueta's arm, having first hit his stomach.

Logical penalty for OM's followers, generous for those of OL.

Milik transformed him perfectly, and OM was finally launched.

They dominated the second half, without managing to double the score.

Payet better than Depay

The number 10 duel was won overall by OM's Dimitri Payet.

Again placed in the heart of the game, he was very good at playing often simply and efficiently.

It is he who causes the second yellow card of Paqueta, expelled after having left his sole trailing on the leader of Marseilles.

Memphis Depay, like his team, gradually let go, wanting to make a difference alone on strikes.

He could have offered victory to OM, but his goal late in the match was refused for an offside.
