Sheffield United's Kean Bryan has written himself into Liverpool's history books.

For his own goal up to 2-0 for the reigning champions, number 7,000 for Liverpool in the English Premier League.

The goal came when striker Roberto Firmino's shot was guided through Bryan's legs.

Prior to that, midfielder Curtis Jones had broken the deadlock at the start of the second half.

Right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold just saved the ball from going out to the corner, his post heeled center-back Phil Jagielka nonchalantly straight into the penalty area.

The ball ended up with Jones who could only score his first goal of the season.

A 2-0 victory for Liverpool, which is still sixth in the Premier League, but now has only one point up to Chelsea, who played 0-0 against Manchester United.

Sheffield United are still jumbo, 15 points up to safe ground.

- We created a lot of chances.

Andy Robertson (left back) could have scored a hat trick.

It was important that we kept a clean sheet.

Adrian (who acted as substitute for Alisson Becker) showed class and character.

I am very happy for him, says Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp.
