As the Indoor World Championships have been canceled due to the corona pandemic, the European Championships will be the only major indoor championship in athletics this season.
Sweden sends a strong squad and has good medal chances in several disciplines.
Armand Duplantis in pole vault, new world number one Khaddi Sagnia and Thobias Montler in long jump and middle distance runner Andreas Kramer to name a few.
- This can be a very good Swedish championship.
Armand Duplantis is of course the big star, and in a branch that is better than ever, we can see something very special in Torun, says Niklas Nord.
Sweden won two medals when the European Championships were decided in Glasgow two years ago.
- There is much to suggest that the Swedish medal harvest will be better this time, says Niklas Nord.
