Clearly, nothing spares the French rugby teams.

The Bleues of rugby sevens were forced to withdraw from the Madrid international tournament after two suspicious cases of Covid-19, the FFR announced on Saturday.

Earlier, the Spanish Federation had indicated that the France team would not participate in the tournament, without giving reasons.

“The management and the players, under the medical supervision of the team doctor, were placed in isolation in accordance with health protocol.

Additional tests will be carried out on Sunday February 28, ”explained the FFR, specifying that the Blues have been in Spain for 15 days.

A preparation tournament for the Olympics

The Blue were to face Poland at 10:44 for their first match of this second weekend of the tournament which serves as preparation for the Olympic qualifiers scheduled for June in Monaco, but they did not appear at the stadium.

This package comes two days after the match of the Six Nations Men's Tournament France - Scotland, scheduled for Sunday, was postponed due to a new case of Covid-19 within the XV of France, decimated by a cascade of positive cases .
