Annika Sörenstam, 50, can still challenge on the LPGA tour.

13 years after the last competition on the biggest stage, she is currently in the borderland to cross the qualifying limit in Orlando.

On Friday, she went around 71 strokes, one under par, when she accounted for three birdies and two bogeys.

Right now +2 is enough to pass the qualifying limit but Sörenstam must wait for the rest of the starting field before she can start charging for the weekend.

Dani Holmqvist is the best Swede in a shared 13th place, a total of five strokes under par.

Lydia Ko leads at -10.
