On Saturday, the skiathlon awaits when the WC continues in Oberstdorf.
Frida Karlsson, who is one of Sweden's biggest medal jumpers in the WC, is one of the four Swedish women skiers who ride the race.
But how does she really cope with the press to be one of the biggest stars?
- It's fun, somehow you have deserved it when you got it and it shows that I have the ability to fight for the top places, she says to SVT Sport when the riders met the media on Friday.
Have a secret weapon
Karlsson has also acquired a secret weapon before the competition.
At Friday's training, she tested new hand straps on the poles that she can take advantage of when changing skis.
- It was a secret weapon that I had not tried before so I am thinking of driving with them tomorrow.
You have to take a chance like this at a World Cup start.
How much time can you earn with them?
- It's probably not much but always nice with a smooth change.
Two years ago, I almost got a small gap at the change.
But do you dare to make such a change?
- If you believe in it, it's right.
Replaces gloves
Karlsson, who usually wears mittens, will also run tomorrow's race with mittens.
- I have prayed to the gods for good weather and it will be a premiere for me with finger gloves, I always freeze my hands otherwise.
What will be important to you in the race?
- To find a relaxed ride and to ride well technically even if I have people around me.
And Karlsson has a high goal.
- I have tough goal pictures, it was a long time since I competed so I do not know exactly where I stand but it will be so fun to meet the best again and I want to try to fight at the top, says Frida Karlsson.
