Meetings between the Games Organizing Committee, the government, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and representatives of the Olympic and Paralympic International Committees are being coordinated to be held on the 3rd of next month in preparation for the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics this summer. I understand.

Opinions are expected to be exchanged at the meeting regarding the acceptance of spectators from overseas, which is the focus.

The meeting was proposed by Chairman Bach of the IOC = International Olympic Committee, and was originally scheduled to be held this month, but was postponed due to the resignation of former Chairman Mori of the Organizing Committee.

After that, the IPC = International Paralympic Committee was added, and it was found from interviews with the people involved in the tournament that the talks were being coordinated to be held after the evening of the 3rd of next month.

The meeting will be attended by IOC President Bach and IPC President Parsons, as well as Organizing Committee President Hashimoto, Governor Koike of Tokyo, and Minister for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Marukawa.

Regarding the spectators who are the focus, Chairman Hashimoto of the Organizing Committee suggested in an interview with NHK on the 25th that there is a possibility that the direction will be gradually indicated according to issues such as acceptance from overseas and the upper limit of the number of spectators. However, according to the people concerned, it is expected that opinions will be exchanged at this meeting as well regarding the acceptance of spectators from overseas.
