Almost a year after the start of the pandemic, it is still just as difficult to project.

However, the Lille metropolis says it is ready to bring the public back to the Pierre Mauroy stadium as part of a strict health protocol.

In an open letter to Roxana Maracineanu, Minister of Sports, Damien Castelain and Martine Aubry announce that they want to nominate the MEL for this experiment.

A public return hoped for for a Losc match

The president of the MEL and the mayor of Lille want to take advantage of an upcoming Losc match to welcome spectators in optimal sanitary conditions.

After Lyon, Lille is the second metropolis to apply for this type of experiment.

Le Losc, through its president Olivier Letang, has already given its agreement.

It remains to be seen when it will be possible to see the public again at the Pierre Mauroy stadium. The health situation in the region suggests that it will probably still be necessary to wait several weeks.

But at least the proposal is on.
