Linn Svahn has been by far the world's best sprinter this season, and won four straight races before crashing in Ulricehamn and injuring her shoulder.

Thus, she was clearly the gold favorite for her World Cup debut today.

But there was an outing already in the semifinals, where she finished last.

- We talked about it before, that you did not really recognize Linn Svahn in the way she acted here before the competition.

I think she has been affected by the injury she has had and been worried about not being able to do in the way she is used to, says SVT Sports expert Anders Blomquist.

Sundling to the final

Maja Dahlqvist, who won her first World Cup competition in her career earlier this month, has also been knocked out after finishing fifth in Svahn's heat.

However, Jonna Sundling is ready for the final, after she took the lead earlier and defended it all the way into the goal.

There she is joined by Johanna Hagström, who finished second in the second semifinal, after Tiril Udnes Weng.
