Monday, Antoine Kombouaré told Augustin, Basila and Ndilu that they would train with the reserve until the end of the season and that they would no longer be part of the professional group.

This Wednesday, at the beginning of the afternoon, the UNFP (National Union of Professional Footballers) issued a press release asking for “the immediate reinstatement” of these three players.

For the UNFP, Augustin, Basila and Ndilu are "deprived of the right to fully exercise their profession of professional footballer since the start of the season in France".

Thirty-two players are in this case in France.

Eight footballers (including the three Canaries) are still currently barred from playing according to the union.

“The players, subjected to incredible pressures, are the victims!

"

"Separated from the pro group to which they belong, forced to train with the reserve and sometimes even alone when given the right to do so, they find themselves in fact unable to provide the work for which they were hired. , and which is the object of their contract, thus losing any chance of claiming to participate in a Ligue 1 or Ligue 2 meeting, ”indicates the UNFP, which recalls that it has already made reminders to the clubs and that 'it is based on "compliance with the provisions of the Charter in this area, set out in article 507".

The union concludes: "The UNFP is determined to put an end once and for all to these unacceptable abuses and these iniquitous situations of which the players, subjected to incredible pressure, are the victims.
