Sang-ha Park (35), a veteran center for the men's professional volleyball team at Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, admitted to school violence and declared retirement.



Park Sang-ha said through the club on the 22nd, "I'm sorry for the controversy over school violence."



He said, "I am sorry to those who have been hurt," and said, "I sincerely apologize."



He said, "I will take responsibility for this and retire" and "I will live with a mind of reflection in the future."



However, he denied allegations of confinement assault.



Park Sang-ha said, "The kidnapping and confinement of alumni and 14-hour group assault posted on the bulletin board on the portal site on the 19th are not true."



Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, his team, also apologized for Park Sang-ha's school violence.



The club said, "I sincerely apologize to the victims, their families, and volleyball fans."



Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance said, "We will closely investigate the history of school violence and illegal activities from the stage of selection of players in the future."



Meanwhile, on the 19th, Park Sang-ha denied the facts when an article was posted saying that he was a school violence perpetrator.



The author claimed that Park Sang-ha and his friends committed bullying and assault while attending Jecheon Middle School in 1999.



Park Sang-ha bowed his head admitted to school violence after three days of controversy.
