Leicester City continues to participate in the Premier League with a 1-2 win over Aston Villa.

West Ham United is also still on track for a Champions League ticket after a 2-1 win over the errant Tottenham Hotspur.

Leicester City was already 0-2 against Aston Villa halfway through the first half thanks to hits from James Maddison (long shot) and Harvey Barnes (rebound).

The home team did not get further than the connection goal of former Vitesse and Ajax striker Bertrand Traoré.

Although he slipped in a promising position, he managed to get the ball past Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.

With the victory, Leicester is currently climbing to second place in the Premier League.

Manchester United can come alongside again later on Sunday, if it manages to win the home game against Newcastle (8 p.m.).

First, the game between leader Manchester City and Arsenal (6.30 p.m.) is on the program.

West Ham best London team after derby win at 'Spurs'

West Ham took a 2-0 lead at the London Stadium shortly after halftime thanks to hits from Michail Antonio early in the first half and Jesse Lingard.

After Lucas Moura's connection goal in the 64th minute, Tottenham was close to the equalizer a number of times.

For example, Gareth Bale hit the top of the bar with a nice long shot and Son Heung-min hit the post in injury time.

Steven Bergwijn was not present, the Orange-international was left out of the selection by manager José Mourinho.

Thanks to the tight home win, West Ham passes city rivals Chelsea in the rankings.

David Moyes' team occupies fourth place, which results in a ticket for the Champions League at the end of the season.

West Ham are currently the best London club in the Premier League.

Tottenham already suffered its fifth defeat in the last six league matches and has dropped to ninth place.

London clubs Arsenal (tenth), Crystal Palace (fourteenth) and Fulham (eighteenth) are performing even less.
