Swedish Championship gold to Meraf Bahta in 3000 meters

It was Meraf Bahta's first indoor competition for this year.

That did not stop her from delivering at the top directly in the Swedish Championships.

The pre-favorite grabbed the baton immediately and increased the tempo.

It was a tempo that only the club mates in Hälle IF Linn Nilsson and Samrawit Mengsteab and Sävedalens AIK's Sara Christiansson could keep up with.

And that quartet hung together all the way to the finish. And with one lap left, the tempo was really increased where the Hälle runners left and won all three medals. And Meraf Bahta pushed away and kept the distance down to the club mates and won at 9.08.56. Second was Samrawit Mengsteab at 9.09.73, third Linn Nilsson at 9.09.82.
