  • In case of non-departure of Jacques-Henri Eyraud, the president of OM, the supporters threaten new demonstrations.

  • The Marseille fans continue to be behind their team, the anger is against the management.

A wave that they themselves did not suspect.

The six groups of supporters of Olympique de Marseille -the Commando Ultra, the South Winners, the Club des Amis de OM, the Dodgers, the Marseille Trop Puissant and the Fanatics- gave an exceptional press conference this Friday after -midday.

This was held at the Pharo, overlooking the entrance to the Old Port, in response to the president of OM, Jacques-Henri Eyraud, and his threat to break the agreement between the club and the groups of supporters.

“We wanted a symbolic image, which represents Marseille.

The Old Port, Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde and the Vélodrome are the three places that best represent us.

It was important to do it here, in a place that symbolizes our history, our city, us, ”explained Christian Cataldo, Dodgers manager.

"Leave the club"

A symbolic framework for a completely clear message.

“We no longer recognize you as OM leaders.

It's time: Leave the club, ”the fan groups concluded after reading an open letter.

"We are tearing our hearts out, our life is being taken away, so we defend it," they explained.

The rupture is definitively consumed between the groups of supporters and Jacques-Henri Eyraud, the president of Olympique de Marseille with whom they have been in open conflict for several months.

A conflict reinforced after the intrusions at the Commandery on January 30.

"He broke off the discussions," wrote to us by bailiff.

Unfortunately it is he who imposed the fact that we no longer recognize him.

It has affected our identity, the break is clear and final, ”said Rachid Zeroual, figure of the South Winners.

Possible events

Intrusions and degradations that the supporters have once again “regretted”: “They let their passion overwhelm, it has always been like that.

We are not going to go back over the facts, we regret them, now it is in the hands of justice, ”they explained.

They therefore demand the outright departure of Jacques-Henri Eyraud, and if they are not heard by the owner Franck McCourt, demonstrations should take place.

“We did not want to fall into the demonstrations to let time pass.

Maybe he'll think it over, not be obtuse, and go.

It's not just the groups, everyone is against him.

And if that's not enough, we receive thousands of phone calls from people all over France ready to come and demonstrate in the Old Port.

We wanted to calm things down with regard to the Commandery, we are not savages.

But when we attack our DNA, we react ”, warned Christian Cataldo.

Many supporters, including Mathieu Valbuena

The supporters thanked the many supports received from all sides, former players, artists, business leaders, and even Mathieu Valbuena, yet very heckled after his departure for Lyon.

"He called me and supports us despite everything we have sent him, do you realize?

“, Rejoiced the president of the Dodgers.

All these OM lovers hope is the arrival of a new president.

“There is no profile for a good president.

All we want is for this person to be aware that this club and this city are not like the others.

Someone who understands the ball, and surprises us.

We are ready to chat with anyone.

We've been here for 35 years, and we've had presidents.

Good and bad, ”they argued.

Our dossier on OM

If the break is final with Jacques-Henri Eyraud, the groups of supporters continue to support their team.

“We had a meeting with them, we told them face to face what we thought, and that we were behind them.

It is not the team that is the subject, but the management.

All the supporters support the team ”.

And OM, who finally won against Nice on Wednesday in a late match, the first victory, will go to Nantes this Saturday to continue dreaming of Europe.
