So does money always win out over reason?

Contrary to what was announced before the 2020-21 NBA season, the All-Star game will take place.

And it will be held on March 7 in Atlanta, at the Hawks.

Adam Silver felt it was the right thing to do.

LeBron James a little less.

Because the players will therefore not benefit from a cut without an exhibition tournament, contrary to what had been promised.

Several stars potentially concerned, have criticized in recent days the prospect of having to participate in an All-Star Game at the heart of a season with a tight schedule, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and which began shortly after the previous one.

LeBron James disappointed

“We returned to the championship after a 71-day offseason.

At that point, we were told there would be no All-Star Game, but a nice little five-day break.

And there they organize us an ASG like that.

It's like slapping us, ”recently railed LeBron James, also named captain in the West.

“I hear other points of view.

No decision during this pandemic is made without the notion of uncertainty and risk.

This is one of them.

And yet it's my job to balance things out for the benefit of all and ultimately it seems to me that (this All-Star Game) is the right thing to do moving forward ” Adam Silver pleaded on ESPN Thursday.

In addition to the All-Star Game, a dunk competition will take place at half-time, and the three-point shootout will take place before the game.

The game will be held behind closed doors, which hasn't stopped Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms from insisting that "fans don't come to party" in her city.
