Alpine skiing: Mathieu Faivre crowned as a giant, his 2nd gold medal after the parallel

And two for Mathieu Faivre.

The Frenchman became the giant slalom world champion on Friday, February 19, during the Alpine Skiing World Championships in Cortina d'Ampezzo (Italy).

He won his second gold medal at these Worlds, after his title in parallel on Tuesday.

Faivre, 29, took advantage of his compatriot Alexis Pinturault, long favorite and fastest time of the first round, to take advantage of the Italian Luca De Aliprandini by 63 hundredths of a second and the Austrian Marco Schwarz by 87 hundredths. .
