Pär Lindholm was something of a "late bloomer", and broke through in 2016-17 when he, among other things, made his national team debut, and then scored six points in eight international matches.

In 2018, after playing the Olympics with Tre Kronor, he left Skellefteå for Toronto in the NHL.

"Great to be back"

But now, after playing in both Winnipeg and most recently Boston, he leaves North America and returns to Skellefteå for the end of the SHL and the subsequent SM finals.

- Absolutely fantastic to be at home.

It goes fast in hockey and it's great to be back.

I'm really grateful to have this chance and look forward to the rest of the season.

I am eager to play again and especially in a team like Skellefteå AIK.

A team I played in before, which is also going very well right now, and a team I have a big heart for, he says on Skellefteå's website.

"Our team feels strong"

Lindholm has signed a contract that is valid for another four seasons.

- Great fun to get home Pär.

Both for this season and on a longer contract.

Our team already feels strong today and with a player of his caliber, we strengthen further before the final sprint.

He is good both ways in the game, can be used in all forms of play and is a good team player who stands for much of what Skellefteå AIK wants to stand for, says the club's sports director Erik Forssell.
