In December, chamber prosecutor Staffan Edlund brought charges against four people, including a former Allsvenskan player and two former national team players in futsal.

The ex-Allsvenskan player is charged with taking a bribe, when according to the prosecutor he took a yellow card on purpose, and then had to take a loan from two of the other players.

Earlier in February, the Swedish Football Association's disciplinary committee announced that the four players will be suspended during the committee's investigation and now the international football association, Fifa, decides that the ex-Allsvenskan player will also be suspended internationally, at the request of the Swedish Football Association.

"Fifa has now approved this request," the association writes.

The trial is set to begin in May. All defendants have denied any wrongdoing.
