Swedish MMA star Khamzat Chimaev's meeting with world number three Leon Edwards, scheduled to be decided on March 13, was postponed for the third time this week.

First the British got covid-19, then it was Chimaev's turn - and now because the Swede has not recovered.

For the near future, he has been plagued with health problems, which has meant that he has sometimes completely lacked the strength to exercise.

And then it got worse.

- He felt really bad.

He could not even pass a round, and then he began to cough.

We had to call an ambulance so he could go to the hospital, he called me from the hospital and thought he was going to die, says manager Majdi Shammas to Frontkick.

Rest

The 26-year-old will now rest before returning to the exercise mat.

Chimaev made his breakthrough in 2020 when he won three fights in the UFC, the largest MMA organization.

In his professional career, he is so far undefeated with 9-0 in matches.
