The 35-year-old Norwegian has had a tough season with zero podium places in the World Cup and he was only twelfth in the super-G when the World Cup began on Thursday.

He now hopes instead to defend his World Cup gold in downhill on Sunday.

But when the men trained today before the downhill race, Jansrud was far behind Dominik Paris.

And after the ride, the Norwegian was very annoyed at how the track in Italian Cortina is designed.

"Just be boring"

- It is not a downhill race, it is the most boring track I have ridden, he says to SVT Sport.

Swedish Felix Monsén was also critical of today's employment.

- It's more like a giant slalom, but with downhill skis on.

You can be very critical of the fact that this is not a downhill race, you want to go fast, it is the branch itself, he says and continues:

- They have little to think about.

The downhill run is slower than the super G in several games and I wonder if the super G was worthy of a WC, says Monsén.

"Hate this course"

Peter Gerdol, alpine manager at the international ski association Fis, says that they were prepared for complaints.

- It was our plan to drive in the safest possible way in the first training because we could not test the hill before.

We knew that the guys would complain but now we can open up the sticks a bit so that it will be perfect for tomorrow.

We would not have been able to drive at max today then it would have been dangerous, he says to SVT Sport.
