- The wall of cheers when I was about to start on the super-G ... it lifted me and somewhere I took the audience all the way down, says Anja Pärson in SVT's series "As I remember it", where she tells about home WC in Åre, 2007.

"Extremely big dream"

Pärson had had a tough season and did not win any competition at all in the World Cup before the championship.

But once at the WC in Åre, it was a great success for Anja Pärson who won gold in the first three competitions she competed in: Super-G, super combination and downhill.

- Some things are something you really want to achieve and winning World Cup gold in all disciplines was an extremely big dream.

That year, 2007, I felt that it was perhaps one of my absolute best chances to win a downhill race at the World Cup.

Something that no Swede had done, says Pärson.

The Swedish superstar then unfortunately ran out in the giant slalom, but also took a bronze in slalom and another medal through a silver in the team competition.
