Chris Wagner and Anders Bjork had scored a goal before the match Madison Square Garden.

Now they each saw with their goal to take their Boston to extra time - where order was restored and Brad Marchand with his eighth hit of the season decided to 3-2.

Zibanejad speechless

But it was close that there was never an extra time, when Rangers in the second period still led 1-0, Tuukka Rask stood for the match's performance when he stopped a Rangers counterattack.

When Mika Zibanejad from close range controlled Chris Kreider's pass to the open box, Rask managed to get the glove up and save his goal from being greeted.

Zibanejad had to go goalless from the ice, and Rangers' goals also came from players who were rarely seen in this year's goal record, Kevin Rooney and Julien Gauthier - who scored their very first NHL goal.

For Boston, 3-2 meant the fourth victory in a row, and the team has nine straight games without a loss in regular time.

Toronto continues to win

Equally strong is Toronto, which via 4-2 against Montreal secured its fourth straight victory and just nine games without a loss.

The match barely had time to start before Josh Anderson with his fifth goal in as many games put 1-0 for Montreal, but then it was a fun end for the home team.
