- I am expectant of the opportunity to continue my career with the Los Angeles Sparks, says Amanda Zahui to the club's website and is referred to as "Zahui B."

- After my first conversation with coach (Derek) Fischer, I knew immediately that I would grow both as a player and as a person by being part of a team like this, Zahui continues.

She has high goals with the club selection.

- I am tagged over to be part of this team and be able to play for the title with my new club mates and fans, says Zahui who has had injury problems recently.

Played in New York for five years

From 2016 to 2020, Zahui played for New York Liberty where she averaged 9.5 points per game.

In a match against LA Sparks 2019, Zahui scored the career-best 37 points in the WNBA.

Zahui broke with the Russian club Dynamo Kursk in mid-December 2020 and has since been without a contract.

The WNBA season takes place between June and September and games in that league are supplemented with games in other leagues.

The club is celebrating its 25th anniversary this season.
