SVT Sport has in several rounds in recent years reported on the problem of match-fixing in Swedish football.

As recently as a couple of weeks ago, we were able to reveal that no less than 22 matches in Sweden are suspected to have been fixed.

The police have now started a preliminary investigation due to a number of these matches.

These matches involve Norrby IF in the Superettan.

- A preliminary investigation has been initiated and a report has been written.

It is not Norrby as an association that is suspected.

We have a good collaboration with Norrby's management.

Right now we can not say much more, says Fredrik Gårdare who leads the police action group against sports-related crime to Expressen.

"No one is notified of suspicion"

He does not want to answer exactly which matches it is about.

- No, no one is notified of suspicion.

This applies to matches from the 2020 season, we do not go out with the exact number.

But there is more than one, he says.

"Amateur guessing"

Nor does club manager David Kyssman say he knows which matches the police suspect.

- No, we have not received information about that.

On the other hand, you have your own suspicions linked to how odds have moved in some of our matches.

You can probably make an amateurish guess.

However, the outcome has not been as the market has wanted in those matches, he tells Expressen.
