Sturla Holm Laegreid was last year's big sensation.

It was as late as March last year that the Norwegian made his debut in the World Cup.

Since his first win in November, he has lined up several podium finishes and been first three times individually since then.

In this year's world championships, he made his debut, just 23 years old.

"Nice feeling"

The win in today's mixed relay resulted in the team winning Norway's 77th gold.

- That everyone succeeds today when it comes to is fun.

It's a nice feeling, says Lægreid.

The Norwegian has previously had a family in Östersund, but now believes that all relatives have moved to Norway.

But how does he feel about sharing a podium with Sweden?

"Great to see them on the podium"

- It was very, very fun.

I congratulate them on the bronze, it's great to see them on the podium today, and they have deserved it, says Laegreid.

The World Cup has only started for the 23-year-old and now it is just a matter of waiting and seeing how he does in future competitions.

- Now I have reached my goal, so everything else is a bonus.

But I will continue to do the best I can, he concludes.
