Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp mourns his mother.
Elisabeth Klopp, who comes from Glatten in the Black Forest, died on January 19th at the age of 81.
This was confirmed by the town hall of the Baden-Württemberg community and the adviser to the successful coach of the German press agency.
The "Schwarzwälder Bote" had previously reported on it.
Due to the corona pandemic, Klopp was unable to travel to Germany for the funeral.
This was "due to the terrible times," said the 53-year-old of the newspaper.

Jürgen Klopp, who lives with his family near Liverpool, last visited his mother in Germany on her 80th birthday before the pandemic, it is said.
“She meant everything to me.
She was a real mom in the best sense of the word, ”said Klopp.
