Jordan loses friendly to Russian Zenit

The Jordan national football team lost 1-0 to Zenit Saint Petersburg today at Al Shabab Stadium in Dubai.

The Jordan national team is holding an intensive training camp in Dubai in preparation for the continuation of its journey in the double Asian qualifiers for the World Cup in 2022 and the Asian Finals 2023.

Jordan's national team, led by Belgian coach Vital Borkelmans, started its training camp in Dubai with a friendly match against the Ukrainian league leaders Dynamo Kiev, and drew 0-0 with it, before facing Tajikistan twice, where it won the first match 2-0, and lost in the second 0-1.

It is expected that the end of the camp will be by playing the last friendly match against the Uzbekistan national team this month, before returning to Oman the next day.

It is noteworthy that the Jordan national team is preparing to face its Kuwaiti counterpart in the second group of qualifiers, before facing Nepal and Australia in June.

Jordan's national team is currently ranked second in its group, equal to Kuwait with the same score (10 points), with Australia remaining at the top (12), Nepal fourth (3), and finally Taiwan without any point.
