The Biathlon World Cup starts on Wednesday with the mixed relay first on the schedule.

NRK has already received confirmation that the Norwegian team, which won the World Cup gold most recently, consists of Johannes Thingnes Bö, Sturla Holm Lagreid, Tiril Eckhoff and Marte Olsbu Röiseland.

Thus, the veteran Tarjei Bö is poked, despite a great season with two individual World Cup victories and several podium places.

- It is not an easy choice, says sports director Per Arne Botnan to NRK.

This year's big surprise and the successful Sturla Holm Lagreid is second in the overall world cup - which is a place better than Bö.

Norway is one of the favorites for the gold in the relay where Sweden will also have a strong team.

Tarjei Bö has won three gold (2011, 2013 and 2020) and two bronze (2015 and 2016) the times he ran the relay in the WC.
