For a long time, however, it looked as if the 17-year-old talent and qualifier winner Thea Arnesson would sniff Renheim for the gold.

She led the final in eight laps - but then Renheim made a cheeky maneuver when she went on the outside and passed Arnesson, who at the same time had traffic problems behind a lap driver.

That management did not release experienced Renheim from Lima.

- So nice.

This has been rubbing.

I have won many Swedish Championship golds, but never the stadium cross.

So now I can stop for real, says Marica Renheim and laughs in SVT's broadcast from the final.

Arnesson from Njurunda held the silver place and got third Wilma Jonsson as third on the podium.

More Njurunda in the men's final

Also on the men's side, it became a new gold medalist.

21-year-old Oskar Enlgund, also from Njurunda MK, took care of the Swedish Championship gold before the reigning champion Marcus Ogemar-Hellgren from Östersund.

Nyborg's John Malmström finished third.

Lucas Johansson, who went undefeated through the qualifiers, had to settle for an eighth place.

- Great fun of course.

I had a good start and could be with the whole way before I could slip past and take over the lead, says Oskar Englund.
