Martin Ponsiluoma has established himself in the biathlon's top tier.

The 25-year-old has reached his greatest individual World Cup success to date with second place in Hochfilzen's mass start - but it is not in that distance that Ponsiluoma has as a favorite.

- It's the sprint.

There are two shooters and a little less riding, I have done many results there this winter, even though I have not shot so well, says Martin Ponsiluoma who with the rest of the Swedish biathlon team makes the final World Cup preparations in Austrian Obertilliach.

The World Cup in Pokljuka, Slovenia, is less than a week away.

And when Ponsiluoma looks towards the world championship, he gives himself a medal chance.

- I have slightly higher expectations when I have made these results.

Then you get to see how far it goes, it's hard to say.

But if I shoot well, and ride well, I know that I can participate and fight for medals.

And I have not felt that before.

It's new.

The Biathlon World Cup, which is broadcast on SVT, begins on the tenth of February and runs until 21 February.
