The German Josef Ferstl had something good going on in the sturgeon race in Garmisch Partenkirchen. Then he went wrong before a jump and flew far and straight into the safety net. - It can be seen how steep it is and what speed it is all about. But it looks like the network has done its job, says SVT's expert Tobias Hellman in a broadcast.
Ferstl, with start number 24, had a nice run in progress but a wrong cut before a jump ruined the day.
The German crashed at high speed into a solid safety net and seemed to be doing relatively well.
Ferstl got up for his own machine at the same time as the competition was paused for a long time to repair the nets.
